It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to the fourth edition of MRMUN 2018. I feel honoured to be the Director General of this conference, not only because of all the hard work that is being put in, but also because of the authenticity and experience this conference is sure to bring to the participating delegates.
As has been put very rightly by John F. Kennedy, “ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”, our main aim at this MUN will not just be to discuss rigidly the agendas concerned and countries’ resolutions to them, but more to ponder upon how we all, together as a team of students, diplomats and well-opinionated delegates, think on broad international terms. Peace-keeping is a two-way pathway. You delegates have the torch and it’s up to you to light up this pathway not only for yourself, but for the benefit of the world as a whole.
We, at this never-seen-before Manav Rachna Model United Nations conference, seek to manifest an environment that, in the presence of our 11 dynamic committees, not only heightens your interests for national interest improvisation, cooperative relationship building and development, but also stretches your international perspective the farthest it can go. We visualise that by the end of this 3-day conference, delegates will feel a strong sense of affinity not just to their nation but learn to think on an international level. I sincerely hope that at the end of the 3rd day when each of you returns home, you have a sense of satisfaction for giving your best and taking home some of the fondest memories.
This is an MUN that doesn’t happen every other day, an MUN which gives the world perspective a peace hope ray, this is the Manav Rachna MUN.
Looking forward to seeing you all at the conference!
